The five Regional Offices of the International Pharmaceutical Students Federation organize Regional Symposia annually, and they usually last for about 7 days. The IPSF African Pharmaceutical Symposium is the annual regional symposium for IPSF African Regional Office. It is a one of a kind event hosted by an African country that seeks to improve the relations between pharmacy students from different countries, backgrounds, and cultures, and give them the chance to learn, create, and show their potential early on in their journey to becoming competent professionals and health leaders. The annual event features lectures and talks from experienced professionals, educational and scientific symposia on current world problems, workshops that focus on sharpening various skills required of pharmacy students, and pieces of training that help students become great leaders, as well as many other programs that help us to be connected with the global pharmaceutical family.

The IPSF African Pharmaceutical Symposium is usually divided into 3 main parts:

Leaders-In-Training (LIT)
It aims at equipping participants with leadership and management skills, strategic planning, project management, communication, and public speaking.

Main Symposium
This is the main part of the symposium which usually includes; Scientific Symposium, Academic Symposium, and Professional Development Events.

Post-Symposium Tour (PST)
The sites of interest are usually selected by the current host country, the delegates will travel to various destinations in that location and get to experience the beauty, culture, and history of the host country.
